What's your earliest musical memory?
Miming with my sister and cousins to Abba songs in front of my parents.
What do you do to relax?
Listen to new music like Arvo Part or Tavener. Watch Ghibli films with my kids.
Have you played any other music other than your own?
Yeah, loads. Rock, Acid Jazz and Funk. My favorite has been playing with the 4 Letter Fish Band. It's a Brit 60's and 70's psychedelic rock show that is the most fun one can have with your clothes on.
Do you think music is the best thing you can do?
It's the most honest thing. It's the best gift I can give.
Where did you grow up?
In the hills east of Melbourne near the Puffing Billy tracks. A great place, just far enough from the city to not feel the heat from it, yet only a train ride away. I moved to Hobart in 2000 and feel such a strong sense of myself here. It's such a beautiful place with so much time and air.
